When villain calls here and he`s got that big FT3bet i think the only hand he might have are JJ+,AKs,AK.

I could have bet the flop, but i think that K just hits his range too strongly, and decided to x/fold.

Was this the right move vs this villain?

It`s depends, what range he opens from the BU. Also, if he would flat AA, KK. (4bet stat?)

If he`s 4betting AA & KK, his 3bet flatting range would look something like this: QQ-TT,AKo-AQo,AKs-AJs,KQs

In this scenario he hits the flop about 40% of the time. 1/2 pot bet has to work about 33% of the time, so I would say it`s reasonable to CB here and give up, if he shows any aggression.

If he`s flatting AA, KK, I would give up on the flop.

Cbet 1/2 1 str and you're done. Not much more to do here.

i`m wondering if OOP bet 1/2 flop give up turn or vs raise isn't simply a waste of money?

what would you do in his place there with AQ? i sure as hell would float you, simply because my 3bet calling range looks so strong and i have position

Generally, most of the players in 3bet pots play fit/fold. 1/2 pot bet on the flop is enough, to fold out his air and even middle pairs.

      Hello cozacu,

Rather still make a CB cause clearly the guy could even have weaker PPs which are just folding right there. And afterwards reevaluate the turn what to do and might even able to 2nd barrel to do it for free showdown.

      Best Regards.

Is he calling weaker PP with 82% ft3bet?
