Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is BTN with 5  5 :spade:
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.50, SB raises to $1.25, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.75

      Flop: ($2.75) 3 :spade: 8 :diamond: 9 :diamond: (2 players)
SB bets $1.00, Hero calls $1

      Turn: ($4.75) A :club: (2 players)
      SB checks, Hero checks

      River: ($4.75) 2 :diamond: (2 players)
      SB bets $1.25, Hero folds

Can flop be called for the given odds?

Thought that I can't make such a guy fold many better hands on the turn so I hoped to get a free showdown. Decided also not to make any hero calls on the river as it could still be a thin valuebet and I'm not sure he can bluff like that since my call on the flop indicates at least some sort of a strength/equity.

i dont see much of a reason to call flop if you dont plan on at least attempting to take the pot away on turns/rivers when villain decides to check.

calling flop and playing fit/fold on t/r seems like burning money to me, especially vs player with such a wide 3betting range

      Hello Avatars91,

Nah, seems to be fine cause clearly if he wanted to bluff he would have Bet the turn himself. ;) Rather just tried to induce bets from you with his Ax.

      Best Regards.
