      Hero shows 9:club: A:heart:
      (Pre 47%, Flop 90.4%, Turn 98.9%)

      Hero wins $5.34

Villain is 25/20/6.6 over 600 hands.

      Two questions:

      1) After reviewing the hand, I think it would have been much better to 3bet PF?

He has quite a wide range to open with in MP so a 3bet should force a lot of hands to fold. Also it defines his range more and I have the initiative AND i'm IP :f_p:

      2) Is my check on the flop good?

Since the range of the villain is so wide its more likely than not that he missed the flop. Nevertheless, if I raise here what hand I beat will call? A8- and a few PP will maybe call but its also possible he hit a stronger A in which case i'm only donating money. By checking I keep the pot small in the case I have the weaker hand, my hand looks weakers so I might get more value on later streets and I can also induce a turn/river bluff.

Is my line of reasoning valid?

      Hello Jehryn,

Preflop: Do you want someone to join with you? Will you like the pot being multiway with your hand?

      As played
Postflop: Not much to comment. We ain't gonna get called on the flop anyways from a lot worse.

      Best Regards.
