Hello guys, my name is Peter, and I hope this will make for somewhat amusing blog. The purpose is to track my progress and to hopefully induce some strat discussion.

This month I will focus on NL cash, but expect to see lots of different games here.

Current BR is around 300€, spread over several different sites.

To start off, here are the short term goals, for November and December:

      >get platinum status this month
      >get diamond status in december
      >play 20,000 hands and 50 tournaments a month
      >get the bankroll up to 1200€, including rb and promotions
      >arrange coaching
      >find interesting hands and spots
      >improve

And here are the long term goals:

      >become a millionaire before June 2016 (~655k US$)
      >follow strict BR management
      >improve

and here is my absolutely favourite hand of my career, played it several months ago:

you will come to your senses long before the month is gone

first rule of goal setting : be realistic

in 20k hand you want to quadruple your BR?

      starting with 300 euro? nice

about the platinus status, you do know how much rake you have to make in 30 days dont you

i hope you dont flush your 300 euro on the toilet this month :s_evil:

@cri4bra we'll see. If I keep up the tempo, the platinum status should be easy.
The 1200 euro goal was for 2 months btw, and I think its very doable, a bit optimistic but doable.

Bankroll is staying at the same level for now.

Here is a hand from a 5€ HU SNG. Villain is a winner with 10% ROI over a decent sample, which is very good for heads up play, right? He also did that small check-raise thing once already.

      What do you guys think?

Nobody wants to discuss the hand? :( oh well.

Bankroll ~290€, including some $$ for micro millions

      - destroyed a site roll of 100€ just after making the last blog post

      - started 8 tabling PLO10 short handed and full ring NL10 and won it all back. Also, I FUCKING HATE shortstackers.

      - I can't multitable for shit

      - Won a 600bb pot with A high in PLO, the guy wrote in the chat "mf*cking bulgarian donk clown holds every time" and left the game

      - I'm on a road to dropping out of uni the first semester due to low attendence. thug life

      Hey

First thing get your BR in one site not spread over
Or start moving your BR to different sites just to clear the FDB

And yes the goals aint realistic

the goals are a bit optimistic, but possible.

I'll bet some money on me getting to 1200€ until december 31st if you give me 2:1 odds :s_biggrin: a symbolic amount, say 5$.

roll is a bit above 340€, which is fine.

I followed your advice and tried to go for more hands this month, but its way harded to do than just grind it in Zoom, because I'm playing PLO and NLHE full ring, so approximately 65-70 hands per hour per table, compared to ~300 hands per hour for zoom.

So if I wanted to play as much hands as a 4-tabling Zoom player, I have to open 18 tables which is not an option because:

      a) there are not that many games going on
      b) I can't play 18 tables.

Nevertheless, I'll probably pump out ~40k hands.

Oh well, at least the games are sweet.

didnt save it during the session, and I dont have PT or HEM. Basically what happened is I bluffed in a 4bet pot with nut FD+ some overs and he called me with wrap draw, the board brought two pair on the turn and river.

      bankroll is ~440€

some huuuuuge swings the last few days. Took a two buy-in shot at the higher limit, lost them, dropped to 240€, then won 155€ from a freeroll tourney, dropped 50€ playing my regular limit, won 100€, etc etc.

      A notable hand:

by the way I have no clue how on earth some people manage to play 5k hand a day and still crush the games. If I open 12+ tables, I time out and miss good spots, if I play 3+ hours session, I cant even follow the game by the end.

Another hand I remembered, full ring table, I won a small pot from the villain by bluffing him and he flamed me, I flamed him back, and he tilted super much and started spamming the chat :D

So he opens to 3bb from utg+2, I 3bet to 10bb from MP2 with QQ, all fold to him and he snapshoves for 100bb effective stack, I call and he flips over KK :D nh, sir. If I had sucked out he might have snapped and went on a killing spree.

For the last few days I've run pretty bad, but thats ok. Got to 480€, then took a NL50 HU shot, lost, and consequently dropped back to 300€.   New goal: DON'T TAKE ANY MORE SHOTS :D :D

Looks like this month I'm gonna win mainly from rakeback. Oh well. Shit happens.

Also, found a british comedian, Jimmy Carr, he is BRILIANT.

Here is video of him improvising:

My favourite comedian by a long way!

He has around 5 DVD's I think so you've got many hours to catch up on. He also hosts a show called "8 out of 10 cats" which you may like.

Your long term goal is to follow strict BRM. But in 2 weeks you have taken shots to higher limits and almost lost your bankroll. And in the meantime you set very optimistic goals. Sorry if I sound rude, but that is a stairway to failure imo.

Set more realistic goals, and if you make them in shorter time just raise them. And the first thing you should really learn is to follow BRM. It doesn't matter now when your BR is couple of hundred bucks, but when it's 20K and you lose 10K for taking tilt shots, it sucks. I know people that have done it, so learn from others mistakes and practise to actually follow a BRM instead of just creating one.

yeah, this is a big problem for me. I had a blog in the Bulgarian community a while ago that was titled "Bankroll management is for losers". Needless to say, it didn't last very long :D

still, taking a shot with ~10% of my bankroll is not too bad. I have a history of sitting with my entire roll on the table, usually after reading about Blom's adventures :D
