      MP: $9.50 - VPIP: 38, PFR: 5, 3B: 0, AF: 1,0, Hands: 21
      Hero (CO): $26.75 - VPIP: 21, PFR: 18, 3B: 5, AF: 4,8, Hands: 90087
      BTN: $48.60 - VPIP: 23, PFR: 18, 3B: 7, AF: 3,7, Hands: 363
      SB: $6.22 - VPIP: 16, PFR: 0, 3B: 0, AF: 10,0, Hands: 56
      BB: $26.77 - VPIP: 23, PFR: 20, 3B: 7, AF: 0,8, Hands: 79
      UTG: $24.52 - VPIP: 54, PFR: 25, 3B: 7, AF: 3,1, Hands: 52

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is CO with J :club: A :club:
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.25, 1 fold, SB calls $1.15, 1 fold, UTG calls $1

      Flop: ($4.00) 8 :club: 7 :club: J :diamond: (3 players)
SB bets $0.25, UTG raises to $1, Hero calls $1, SB calls $0.75

      Turn: ($7.00) 3  (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $2.75, Hero calls $2.75, SB folds

      River: ($12.50) J  (2 players)
UTG bets $3.75, Hero calls $3.75

Would a raise with so much equity on the flop not be more appropriate? but then again are we not making too many hands to fold (a 3Bet on the flop looks very strong afterall)?

At the time of play I thought that it is more important to let them come along as I didn't have that much to protect from.

The same for the turn. Though could be raised as well?

River: I don't even know why I didn't raise :f_cry: , Anyway, I think we could even ship? Especially since he is loose and may be paying us off with quite a lot of weaker hands.

You got to attack this flop and try to get it all in, you are a favorite against 87 on this flopp 51/48 JJ,88-77,QJs,J8s+,87s,87o, if he got that range you got 53,26% EQ if he got T9o and T9s you got ~47% EQ.

The reason to get it all in on this flop is that you got the most eq in the hand at this point and on the turn your eq will get reduced hard.

Getting it in on the flop sounds +EV to me, indeed.

I am a bit worried that raising might just isolate ourselves vs a bit stronger range than we would like. Mainly because our raise signals a lot of strength since it is technically a 3Bet + it should be obvious that we are willing to play for stacks at least with the SB.
Not that it is suddenly –EV to raise, but it's just that maybe in the long run we could gain more by inviting them both along.

Though indeed, the reduction of our equity on some especially bad turns sounds pretty harsh. I'm leaning more towards raising now.

I think i would just shove here, as the fish will prob call any J he got a top pair ftw! JJ,88-77,QJs,J8s+,T9s,87s,T9o,87o that's like a real tight range for him vs that range you got 47%, i don't think he will ever fold a pair + a gutter.

Also if the 3rd :club: comes it might scare them off.

      Hello Avatars91,

Shoving doesn't achieve much! We want them to call with weak holdings and weaker draws. Therefore just make a solid raise on the flop and with the plan to get it in. :) Even $4 is enough.

      Best Regards.
