      PartyGaming - $0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

      UTG: $34.66
      MP: $94.91
      CO: $44.35
      BTN: $25.00
      SB: $27.00
      Hero (BB): $25.00

SB posts SB $0.10, Hero posts BB $0.25

      Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero has A:diamond: Q:club:

fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to $0.75, Hero calls $0.50

      Flop: ($1.50, 2 players) A:spade: 5:spade: 2:spade:
SB bets $1.07, Hero calls $1.07

      Turn: ($3.64, 2 players) 8:diamond:
SB checks, Hero bets $2.30, SB raises to $6.90, fold

      Villain= 12/9/4/27 ats= 17 after 145 hands

Facing a low ats I choose to defend passively and see.
      Should I raise/call flop and calldown a non-spade board?
As played, I'm confused by his checkraise.

      Hello 13BlackCats,

How many worse hands do you see going broke on the flop if you do raise? Do you have even taken a look what's the equity when you going broke on the flop?

Otherwise quite obviously we ain't gonna have very good equity vs his line, he ain't bluffing most likely.

      Best Regards.

if I raise on the flop I could get called by dominated hands like KQ, AJ, ATs and maybe QJs. Couldn't I?

Only if they hold a spade in them and that's not even that likely.

villain seems pretty tight, especially for 6max. i would imagine any hand that villain bet/calls flop with will either have us crushed, or be tp + fd type hands.

i think by raising flop we fold out pretty much all worse hands than ours, and only hands better/or with great equity vs us continue on.

i would prefer calling flop, betting turn when checked to, and then checking back pretty much all rivers

As said above, mainly if they are holding a , so not that good idea.
