      Hello, what would had been the right move against loose players on this table? Should I have raised first in or was that call a good move?

      I had raised first in. Hands like 89s don't play that well OOP and without initiative.

      If those guys are 3-betting a lot then I would probably consider folding, especially if that BU is the loose and 3-betting guy.

      Why would we just call first in?

      We should always take initiative and raise the hand preflop.

      If the opponents are loose and 3-bet you a lot you can fold these hands preflop.

      Calling and then calling raises will be a sure way to lose money in the long term as you proceed to see a flop (in a biger pot) without initiative and a speculative hand.
