I dont know how to describe the meaning of the stats in terms of if the players a TAGy or LAGy in 6max so until I do Ill just post there stats unless I have less than 20 hands.

I think I have been playing 2s-9s bad since moveing to 6max I know you cant just set mine so I have been trying to negoite post Flop but I'm not sure when I should 2Betting and when I should be floating. In this hand I thought the Board is not that bad on the Flop and on the Turn not much changes.

I know later itt I might contradict what I said in the 33 hand but here we have position so it's a different scenario.

But first can I ask why do you think you 'can't just setmine'?

It depends on the opponent. UTG/MP opens are still quite tight so you still have the implied odds. Your red line will take a beating but you'll make enough from your showdowns to show a profit.

It's only less implied odds when your calling a co/btn/sb open because of wider ranges. If they are loose and passive then they won't pay you off when you hit so you could be better of folding otherwise you'll lose loads just x/f when you don't hit. Or if they have a high fold to 3b you'll generate enough folds to show an immediate profit and plus if they call you hit your set and get paid off.

Re the hand: Against a tight UTG open calling pre for set value is fine. But I'd just fold the flop w/underpair.

Villian seems super tight and we got position I think setminining is good here but I would tend to 3b this hand from bu.

What's your equity versus a range that he would cbet here? keep in mind that any hand he bets has at least 2 overcards.

Once he second barrels we should heavily consider folding. The guy seems nitty and since he opened UTG his range is much stronger (and thus less bluffs/semibluffs) available.

As played fold the turn although I would just fold this flop.

The value of playing low PPs in position comes from spots where we can bet when villain checks (and a lot of players will check connected boards and give up) and also when we can occasionally float and take pots away, however we shouldn't make a habit of floating (a hand with poor equity) versus strong ranges like in this spot.
