Yeah I would bet/fold turn, He can still call with worse. As played River we have so great odds we have to call but I'm not fist pumping.

      Hey pcfmcc02,

Pre flop looks sexy, I like it. I think $3 may be better overall as we're in position so don't need to go gangman style huge. We also don't want him to fold.

I'd go $6 on the flop, he either has a draw/pair and will not ever fold this flop in a month of Sundays, or he has A high and will fold regardless, this means we get an extra 5-6bbs/100 on the flop and still make the pot bgiger on the turn where we can bet again against his relatively strong range (pairs are hard to make :D )

As played, turn/river both played perfectly.

Hehe veriz teached us to 3B at least 4x vs minopenraises :P . So I don't know who to believe :( . I think vs fish we should aim to make it 4x without a doubt.

Why aren't we betting turn? We avoid bad rivers and 'secure' us a free SD. It's not like there are only better hands calling ;) .

If a fish opens a speculative hand such as A4s and we make it $3 he is more likely to call then if we make it $4, he is alot more likely in general to hero fold and $4 screams massive strength whilst $3 he may think we are bluffing him.

As you move up through the limits, which should be your goal, you will focus on wanting to be balanced at all times and there are many flaws with wanting to 4x an open when you are in position.

I'm pretty certain and confident in my thoughts on the 3x :)

The turn is not a value bet because there are most likely more combos of better hands than good hands.

Remember he has raised UTG then called a 4x 3bet, he doesn't have the j9o hands in his range.

Also vs the hands we do beat, he will liekly even hero fold them, so i think its a very easy check behind.
