      On the river I'd call as he can have worse hands that he bets like this. I wouldn't shove because we don't know if he can call anything but flushes, straights and strong Ax.

      Well, from my experience (nl2-nl10) I can say, that river overbets beat 1-pair hands more then 90% of the time. We are nearly NEVER ahead here.

      Since you know the answer already why did you post the hand? ;)

      While I agree with you that overbets generally mean strength take a look at how the action went.

      You played the hand passively the entire time so villain could try to get you to fold it, or he actually hit an A on the river and thinks he can valuebet big because your hand is weak.

      He might think you are on a draw on the turn and try to bluff you on the river.

      If we would of bet the flop and then he donked turn and overbet river it would be a different story.
