      Villain(mp2) 37/6/2/23.5/51

Villain insta pushed on the river and I thought about it for a while and then called as I was getting like 3-1

I think a fold pre flop would have been the better play

my bet size could have been a little bigger on the flop as well

what would you do if the river bet was larger?

A9 is fine hand to open BU. Some players would even open to A2, since they have position.
Pot is big, so that makes it easy call. Against potsize shove you may fold, but without reads I would probably call as well.
