Preflop: Hero is BB with A, Q.
      MP2 raises to $0.50, 4 folds, Hero raises to $1.70, MP2 calls $1.20.

      Flop: ($3.5) 5, 4, K (2 players)
      Hero bets $2.00, MP2 calls $2.00.

      Turn: ($7.5) A (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $3.00, Hero calls $3.00.

      River: ($13.5) 3 (2 players)
      Hero checks, MP2 checks.

      Final Pot: $13.5.
      Results follow:

      Hero shows a pair of aces(A Q).
      MP2 shows a pair of kings(Q K).

Hero wins with a pair of aces(A Q).
he is unknown. I CB flop and when I hit the turn ,I sometimes go checking .
should I value bet on the turn in this hand?
if I bet,and if he raises ,it would be difficult situation so went to pot control .

3betting AQs vs unknown in MP isn't good idea. I prefer just calling.

As played : bet the turn. If he has AK, u will lose ur stack anyways, so u shouldn't be scared about raising. If he calls, u can go for a small river bet and hope he will call u with Kx. Checking makes sense only if he will start bluffing, but it's very unlikely he has any bluffs at all after he calls ur flop cbet.

Why is 3betting bad? The guy looks fishy and he just opens 2x :) . I'm not sure either but I think we can 3B for value.

I agree with you here Farmarchist.

Villain does appear to be a shorter stack and he also min raised. I like to 3-bet here to isolate him and I think he can call us with much worse. We still have to fold to most 4-bets though.

I think getdotacom was referring in general, if villain would be full stacked and opened normally because in that case our 3-bet would be a pure bluff for the most part.

As far as the hand goes I agree with what has been said. I want to bet here and get value from Kx which he won't fold. If he floats Ax hands (like A3, A2) or other pairs he can still call.
