SB checks, BB bets $0.40, Hero?
I havent seen him getting to showdown with a donking hand, so I dont know what he as. Havent seen people raise his donk, so I'm in dark now. Well, calling flop to "reevaluate" is pointless, because I'm going to face the samce decision on the turn, but possibly worse, because I cant get better, but villain can.

      Can I bluff: TT yes...
      Value: FDs, SDs.
Dead money? Well, he could donk with weak 5x, 7x, so its not bad for me to fold them.

      Hello,

      Preflop raising is fine.

Against a fairly unknown opponent I prefer folding the flop.
As you said, there is no need to just call to reevaluate the turn, since the majority of the turn cards won't be good, also we don't close the action.
Raising is kind of overplaying and I just prefer folding.

      Best,
      Plamen

Maybe I watched too much High stakes poker and wcoop

I can NOT imagine anyone folding 99 here. I'm really unable to do it. I mean, just because he's unknown, it doesnt mean his range is stronger.

What is my plan? -you may ask
Well, you are right, we dont know what SB is going to do after us. Many horrible cards could come.

But still, I'm never seeing Tom dwan or Ivey folding here. What's wrong with me?

The whole notion of "as soon as I dont hit a set, my pair is worthless" looks weak to me. Or maybe we simply dont have better alternatives here?

I mean, a guy with 83% donking stat donks into us. It's like nothing happened, if we were ahead of him before the flop, we are here aswell. Donking doesnt change his range here, because he almost always does it. He donks 83%.

All in all, our REAL problem is that we arent closing the action here, right?

Sry if I'm being silly, but I wanna understand this.

      Hello there,

I want to apologize for the late answer.

Basically, there are two big problems here:
      - we don't close the action - this is bad seems we will put the money in without knowing what the third person will do
      - the majority of the turn cards will be bad and even on the "good" ones we are unlikely to feel comfortable calling; and the river play would be hard too.

So given these problems I have no remorse here to just fold.
