      To answer your question: yes this is a way ahead way behind spot.

      For example on the flop if you bet you either get called by Ax+ in which case you are way behind or get called by 9x, TT, JJ, QQ, other pairs/floats in which case you are way behind.

      As played if we call turn we have to call the river. Villain bets small enough to make me think that he can bet here with TT/JJ/QQ or even some K high air.

      Yeh, I wouldn't fold to his small bets since he can have worse although many better.
