      Hello guys,

after using PS for a few months, I decided to start a blog on my own. I hope it will be at least a little entertaining :)

      Little about myself:

My name is Michal, im 22years old and I come from a small country in central Europe - Slovakia.
I recently starded my 4th semester of Finance&Banking at a university in Prague, Czech republic.

      My poker "career" so far:

I was introduced to poker by my friends about 2 years ago, playing some NL10 home games and - just like almost everyone - really liked the game,
although i only started taking it a little more seriously about a month ago :)

First i started playing NL2 SH 8-tabling regular tables on Everest,
then, since Everest moved to iPoker,
i started 3-4 tabling NL5 and NL10 SH SPEED poker cash games on Everest (mostly NL5, the first shot i took at NL10
didnt really go as planned and i got destroyed by variance :P - although i should be able to try again soon - only need a few more BI's and ill have a proper BR)

      Starting bankroll: $10
      Current bankroll: $181.16

      My poker goals:

      Short-term (<4 months)

      - Move up to NL20
      - Reach Platinum status @ PS
      - Play at least 60k hands every month
      - Buy Holdem Manager 2

      Mid-term (<1 year)

      - Be a winning player at NL100
      - Reach Diamond status
      - Play at least 100k hands every month
      - Make enough money so i dont have to have another job while studying @ uni
      - Have a very solid mindset
      - Probably switch platforms
      - NO TILTING!

      Long-term (<3 years)

      - Reach NL1000 and be a winning player at mid-stakes
      - Become a Black Member

      Some graphs:

My Overall NL2 graph (before Everest moved to iPoker):

My November NL5 Speed poker graph:

My stats for NL5 Speed poker:

Overall i think i might be too nitty, and especially passive, but it has worked so far overall i guess.
Well, tell me wat u think - any feedback is very much appreciated

      :)

played a short session this morning, about 400 hands, ran pretty well,
but my PT4 beta HUD doesnt seem to be working (worked fine untill now), so i just decided to stop playing until i sort this out.

Seems like the HUD is starting up, but then nothing happens.

      weirdest hand of the day:

      $5+0.5 Freezeout
      $1250GTD

starts in 10 minutes and there is only 38 people registered so far ...

i guess im pretty much underroled for this, with only 40 BI's, but what the heck... once in a while its ok i guess :P

am i supposed to just shove the flop to fold his 1 card gutshot?

there is like no t's in his range.... 1 combo of 8Ts nad almost nothing else....
i even thought about shoving the river for value, maybe he could call with some weirdo 2pair hand if he is bad enough

so, BR is finally @ $200, i think im gonna take a shot at NL10 with 3 BI's.

I know PS reccomends 25+ BI's for moving up, but i think 20 is still okay right?

I dont feel like NL10 is going to be much tougher than NL5, basically i guess its the same thing.

What do you think? are there any differences between NL5 and NL10 speed?

      :f_confused:

If you are shure, you will move down accordingly. If your plan is to take shots, you must be prepaired to move up/down a lot, and every single time no matter what. If you are able to do that, it is perfectly fine.

Don't worry aboth ''skill level gap" between NL5-NL10, just play your best game, and don't think that everyone is bluffing :f_cool:

Well yeah... You also shouldn't have been in the hand anymore by the turn :f_biggrin:

Will be following though! Good luck with your goals! Shouldn't be too difficult to get money from the guys on iPoker :f_biggrin:

yeah it was towards the end of the session and i made a very tilted decision to call flop and shove any turn if he checks to me :D lol
not the brightest idea, was actually one of the greatest cards tho, cause i could rep nutflushes :(

I fell like i need some advice on this tho, every time someone makes a weird line, i instatly start tilting and trying to take the pot down with pure air, i just cant help it.

seeing some random guy limp - overcalling 3bets and then betting 1/4pot into me or c/minraising flops on monotone boards, i just cant give it up with my AK high and instantly start spazzing and trying to fold them with no equity :(

Yeah, people do crazy things. It's often pretty hard to give them a range, sometimes even almost impossible! So against those guys I tend to play pretty straightforward. Making crazy plays against them is pointless anyway.

had to end the session, this was just too much for me to handle...

so in first 20 minutes im up 3 BI's then i just start losing flip after flip, cooler after cooler, setup after setup, sets (4-5 handed) got absolutely no action, AA twice - no action,

and this hand to top it off..

fish floating me with 6 high on the flop and hitting a runner-runner straight vs my QQ, thats just too much....

my great run @ NL10 seems to continue, cooler after cooler, fish shoving 42s 30bb deep obv winning vs my AK 4/4 times, LAGtards floating flops with AK high in 4bet pots with 70% of their stack commited, obv hitting their 3 outers on the turn.... monsters never get action....

villain is a 42/33/20/8 1tabling LAGtard with 3bet of 20, i decide to 4bet with blockers he calls...

flop i cbet, sizing is standard i guess, turn brings me nuts, cause there is no way he floats AK on the flop, + there is no FD's in his range (AQs/AKs) he would shove the flop) so i check to induce a bet from TT-QQ which i think he is bad enough to do 100% of the time, obv call and....

how the f....ck do they float AK? trying to hit their 0-6 outers on the turn?
      is this for f...cking real?
