      So villain is a maniac 45/17/5.3

      the thing about him is his 3bet stat - 22.7% on 45 occasions...yh...

      ive been finding some of these players nowadays they 3bet and 4bet alot

      How am i adjusting? Just waiting for the 2.5% range when i steal 30% isnt the answer...im explored easily, steal less makes sense? 15%? then i dont take advantage of their 76% fold to steal. please help

      as for calling...oop vs a maniac...dont need to say more

      Hello,

      Interesting spot.

      So when we have this kind of opponent right next to us there are some things we could do:
      - steal less - you could go for 22-25%
      - 4bet more - you could 4bet/go broke with hands like JJ/TT and 4betbluff more since people are usually 3bet and 4bet bluffing, but not 5bet bluffing
      - call more even OOP - it makes sense only if we think that we could play the hand well.

      In our case, I think KQs is good enough to call because:
      - we dominate a good part of his range
      - people usually tend to bluff a lot on Qxx/Kxx boards
      - our hand has a good playability.

      If you however don't feel comfortable playing this hand OOP 4bet/folding is just fine, but I personally like to call KQs and 4bet KQo.

      Best,
      Plamen

      Hello dark

      I almost alwayd prefer calling with suited broadways bcos they just play really well.

      "KQs only connects 30% of the time"

      This is untrue. Sure u hit a pair a third of the time. But kqs is a suited connector too. You will flop straight draws sometimes, flusj draws sometimes. And u can also float oop with 2 overs with backdoors lon fkops like TXX with one diamond.

      I would estimate that u could potentially continue on 50-60% of flops

      You are 'ahead' of his range.. flip a coin :D

      Worst case is he has AA right?

      18% chance to win Vs top
      30% chance to win Vs AK

      And then his actual range...

             Equity     Win     Tie
      MP2    49.56%  47.88%   1.68% { KQs }
      MP3    50.44%  48.76%   1.68% { 22+, A2s+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, A2o+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo, T9o }

      ^ maybe not perfect but :f_cool:
