      iPoker - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      CO: $3.53
      BTN: $43.23
      SB: $10.00
      BB: $11.79
      Hero (UTG): $12.50
      MP: $17.97

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10, CO posts DB $0.15

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.30) Hero has K:club: A:diamond:

Hero raises to $0.40, fold, fold, BTN calls $0.40, fold, BB raises to $2.00, fold, fold

      BB wins $1.40

BB was playing 10/8/6.3 over ~200 hands. He's clearly very tight, but an otherwise fairly solid player from what I've seen so far. BU was a pretty fishy player over 300+ hands.

Against this guy, who is so tight, I pretty much insta-mucked. I feel like his range against my UTG raise (which is going to be a somewhat tight range, which I expect he will have noticed) is going to be extremely tight, maybe QQ+,AK?

If we 4bet here, BU is pretty mich always going to fold. When he just calls my raise here he likelyl doesn't have a hand he can call a 3bet with, let alone a 4bet. So BB is the only guy I'm worried about here. If I 4bet, I'm pretty sure he's just going to call with KK+, because I'm fairly sure he can fold QQ.

If that is indeed the case, should we 4bet here? I feel like I made the right play here. Even though he's going to fold like 70% of the time, his calling range has us crushed so badly that I think that, after taking rake into consideration as well, cutting down on the money we win if we do manage to win the pot, we should fold anyway.

This is pretty much the first real nit I've faced on NL10 SH so far, because most players I'm facing are just pretty loose passive, weak players. This guy at least pays some attention, and hardly ever plays a hand.

If this is your first so nitty player i am sure you are not on PokerStars lol.

If you find yourself in situation like you described and you actually doubt about what to do...maybe folding is the safest and the most correct thing how to deal with such a hand.

But how they say (who are they)? If oyu dont know what to do, to fold or to call, then raise:)

I play on Poker770. Loads of gamblers coming from their online casino, so most guys there are just looking to have some fun. So yeah, there's probably not too many of these guys there :)

Guess I made the safe play then :) Thanks for your input!

I think you played this fine.
I think that in general a 10/8 player will have QQ+, AK in the best case, and we could be against KK+.
Also I'm not even sure that he folds QQ/AK if we 4bet so I'd just fold.
