      Hi farma,

really standard 3bet here. I assume he is a lag opening really wide ranges. I would be punishing him here a lot with at least 10% range in this spot, and thus 3betting JJ for balance and for value is absolutely necessary.

I didn't do it because I had to fold vs a 4bet probably. The thing I was missing in my thoughtprocess that the guy will def. not only 4bet or fold :)

      Hi Farmachist,

Since we are in CO vs BTN, and he is aggressive so far we can expect villain to 4-bet bluff some amount of the time. Thus 3-bet/shoving becomes very profitable because we make a decent profit when he 4-bet/folds and when he 4-bet/calls we still have decent equity versus him.

I'd especially like a 3-bet/shove here IF we've 3-bet him in recent history.

There were no aggro dynamics. We're also deep :)

My apologies. I missed the stack sizes here. My statements were based on 100 BB stacks.

Looks like we are 150 BB deep here. This deep once we 4-bet to let's say $6-$6.5 (24-26 BB) we still have ~125 BB's left so there may be room for him to 5-bet bluff small (although I wouldn't expect this without dynamics).

If he shoves we need to call 125 to win a total of about 300 so our pot odds needed go up to about 42% (versus ~38% if we were 100 BB deep) so it makes it less desirable to 4-bet/call.

So unless we have dynamics it lighter to stack off.
