Should we raise the flop or turn? And it's a raise/fold then right? I thought my hand was a bit too weak, I didn't want to build a pot.

      Hi Farma,

Evaluate the strength of your hand. Then determine the number of bets you wish to put into the pot and plan ahead for future streets. Take lines which allow you to control the number of bets committed by you.

Q9 on QT6 monotone = Medium/Weak Hand. I would want to put in 1-1.5 bets in at the very most. I have no issue with folding if a club hit, protection only applies to strong hands. For this hand, my aim is to potcontrol and try to dodge clubs on the Turn and river. If a club hits (33% of the time) I'll just fold, if it blanks out I may consider calling down.

Flop: He bets 1/3 pot, so this is like half a bet. Remember we are aiming for around 1.5 bets of value at the very most.

Turn: He bets 1/3 again, so that's 0.5 bets. I think it's clearly a call again.

River: If it blanks out and he bets 1/3 pot of course we snap call and we more or less managed to control the pot size according to our wishes. We would beat more than enough hands on the River.

Now a really bad card comes so just fold. I don't think we are beating much.

I don't think we have the option of raising here unless we were very sure that he only takes such lines with draws (then we would know we are ahead of his range and can raise for value).
