Villain is 55/6 over ~50 hands.

Stab the river here, when he checks? Generally a minbet/minbet line means they either have nothing, or have almost the nuts if they then bet big on the river. So when he checks, I figured he would have some sort of busted draw os some other weak hand he didn't want to put more money in with. So I bet.

But he raised, which didn't make much sense to me. Since I had nothing here though, I folded.

What kind of range can we give this type of villain here? I almost wanted to 3bet him here because he probably had nothing, but refrained from doing so because I didn't know enough about him yet.

      Hello,

      Preflop raising is fine.

I think we can raise his flop bet here because of the following reasons:
      - we can make better hands to fold - hand like KT for example
      - if we get called we have pretty decent equity with FD and two overcards and also have position + initiative.
Overall I threat minbets like checks.

As played on the flop, calling turn is fine.

I really don't think betting river is ok. I'm not really sure if he even folds Khigh/Ahigh and we will feel very stupid if he calls us. Also do beat some hands like Q8 or so so just take the SD.
It's very hard to put him on a range here, since he plays 50% of the hands, and those minbets could mean everything.
When he 3bets, I would definitely NOT 3bet him here - remember the golden rule - "don't bluff the fish".

      Best,
      Plamen
