      FLOP ($0.78) J:spade: J:club: 2:club:

Hero bets $0.60, CO folds, BTN calls $0.60

      Hero bets $1.40, BTN folds

      Hero shows A:spade: A:diamond:

      Hero wins $1.85

I don't like my betsize on the turn of course especially after he folded :)

We obviously don't want to protect but checking feels a mistake even against this reg so i would go for half pot on turn so flushes can call more easily in this already large pot.

I think halfpot Turn is fine. Board is paired and I think both of you will be left with <4$ so you can still go all-in on the River. I think you are on the right track, we know we are probably stacking JX anyway, and he probably folds 88. So we just want to size our bets smaller to maximize our value from flush draws (which is the only category of hands that is sensitive to changes in bet sizes IMO).
