When this hand was played, I had only a few hands on the villain (something like 10), but he seemed a bit nitty to me.

On Game No-Limit Hold'em, $0.04 BB (5 handed) - On Game Converter Tool from

      Hero (Button) ($4.38)
      SB ($3.90)
      BB ($4.18)
      UTG ($4.06)
      MP ($11.02)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5, 5
1 fold, MP (poster) checks, Hero bets $0.16, SB calls $0.14, 2 folds

      Flop: ($0.40) J, 8, 8 (2 players)
      SB checks, Hero checks

      Turn: ($0.40) 10 (2 players)
SB bets $0.04, Hero calls $0.04

      River: ($0.48) 5 (2 players)
      SB bets $0.46

What should I have done differently? We must always raise the river or we can sometimes just call?

      Hi Ace,

      Preflop: looks good

Flop: I don't mind the check back. We can't really bet as a bluff or for value.

Turn: Our plan was to check and give up so I would do that even facing such a small bet.

      So I'd just fold.

As played we lose to 88, JJ, TT and if we raise we can get called by A8s, 89s, 78s and maybe poorly played QQ-AA.

PF I would as standard make it 3x.

OTF I would make a cbet he has in general two overs and the only god cards for us OTT would be 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, pretty much any other card could hit him for all we know.

OTT I don't love the call but it's still not that bad.

OTR When he spass out I would in general raise since i don't think he would have anything that beats us. he might have a 8 that he slow-played OTF, bet for low value OTT and now makes it look like a bluff.
