Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has Q:spade: J:spade:

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $0.40, fold, Hero calls $0.30

      Flop: ($0.85, 2 players) A:spade: J:club: 5:diamond:
      Hero checks, BTN checks

      Turn: ($0.85, 2 players) 8:diamond:
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.50, Hero calls $0.50

      River: ($1.85, 2 players) 7:diamond:
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.92, Hero calls $0.92

Hero mucks Q:spade: J:spade: (One Pair, Jacks) (Pre 32%, Flop 6%, Turn 0%)
BTN shows A:club: J:heart: (Two Pair, Aces and Jacks) (Pre 68%, Flop 94%, Turn 100%)
      BTN wins $3.45

Villain is a 32/24 fish over 200 hands.

I initially wanted to 3bet him, but because he didn't like folding to 3bets too much I decided to call.

My plan was to check/call the flop, and then evaluate the turn. When he checked though, I was pretty confident I was ahead. He would most likely bet Ax on this flop, especially because he was pretty agressive. So I decided to go in check/call mode, because I made myself look very week by checking 3 times, and I figured he could bluff here a decent amount of the time.

Should I play this any differently against an aggressive player?

      Hi Tino,

      Preflop: looks fine

Flop: Once BTN checks he usually has a weak Ax, Jx type hand or a monster.

Turn: Checking again to let him bluff is fine.

River: If he is an aggressive guy we have to ck/call here. Otherwise, considering that the backdoor flush got there we can also ck/fold.
