Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is CO with 8 :diamond: 8
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.15, 2 folds, BB raises to $0.50, Hero?

I'd HAVE to stack him if I call, which wont always be the case, so calling for purely implied odds is out of the question. 100bb deep, we just cant call 3bets purely for setmining as I see.
3bet doesnt make sense, so only fold is a good choice?

      Hey Imimba,

Preflop: do you mean 4-bet doesn't make sense?

I agree that I wouldn't 4-bet bluff. Villain doesn't seem 3-bet happy and calling 88 here to play postflop will be hard because we have no info. And as you said set mining wouldn't be too profitable so folding is the best option.

Well, villain is very tight, so we could call in theory. We hit one in 9 times, so we'd need to stack him ~80% of the times when we hit. The problem is, that even if we hit, he might flop an underpair (KK,QQ), or might not even hit at all (AK)?

Or we hit and he catches up or hits better. So we also lose sometimes when we have the set. And of course we lose a full stack.
