      SB showed K K and won $0.00 (-$10.05 net)

SB is TAGy over 600 hands, I decided to call Pre Flop because the SB is a Tight player so I thought I would have decent implied odds, I am also getting 2:1 and I have possition, ofcourse it's always easy game when you Flop the Nuts.

      Hey BigAl,

Preflop: You should fold this preflop. Despite the fact that we have "decent implied odds" we flop nothing most of the time and when we flop draws we have to put a lot of money in.

So simply fold this preflop and move on.

Keep in mind a hand like yours flops 2p+ 5% of the time, FD 10% and OESD 10%. Guess how often you hit your FD or OESD by the river if you flop it? Overall you won't be too profitable even if you stack him every time (and don't forget, that even when you flop the nuts like you did he may still have redraws, like in this case he has the backdoor flush draw).

So what hands can I call in this spot like higher conectors or do I just need better direct odds?

The hole cards with which you can call the worst pot odds are pockets. However in this case, even pockets are pretty marginal.

Don't forget that we were just stealing with a hand that might hit something if we are called. Don't overplay it, it's quite an easy fold after we are raised.

I wouldn't call any connector type hands unless we have some information about the player.

Remember the guy is nitty, has a strong 3-bet range so we don't want to give him money when he has a good hand (and that's what we are doing by calling 3-bets with marginal hands). We should be happy he told us he has a good hand and let him have our 3 big blinds.
