      Hero (SB): $2.20 (110 bb)
      BB: $3.91 (195.5 bb)
      MP: $1.91 (95.5 bb)
      CO: $2.01 (100.5 bb)
      BTN: $3.15 (157.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A K
MP folds, CO raises to $0.08, BTN folds, Hero raises to $0.28, BB folds, CO calls $0.20

      Flop: ($0.58) T 4 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.38, CO calls $0.38

      Turn: ($1.34) J (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $1.35, Hero folds

The cornerstone of the hand is the villain. I would like to introduce you -- a typical nl2 player:
(in bold are most relevant stats, the rest is just for your joy)

      RFI from UTG to SB:67/89/70/75/99/f2re-steal:00/f2steal:00

Bearing in min who we're up against, turn is check/fold or you would 2nd barrel?

Also, any insight on how could you possibly estimate the range of an "nl2 reg" would be much appreciated, because I see them every day.

      Hi German,

      Preflop: looks fine

Flop: I'd cbet smaller (1/2 pot) although don't expect much fold equity which means we need to barrel many turn cards.

Turn: I would bet here about 1/2 again to get him to fold pairs between 4 and T and floats.

The way you estimate their range is by observing what they play. At 2nl people are all over the place so it's hard to get a range for an unknown.
