I thought he had AKo so tried to steal river.

However, now I notice there were many hands which hit this board.

      What should I have done?

AK is too narrow of a range. Why would AK just flat pre there and float flop?

Do you think he folds QJ? Did you count the Tx in his range?

First and foremost though, think of his preflop range, your equity and your folding equity against that preflop range + barreling opportunities.

I think calling preflop can be OK and then postflop will just be basically spew. His preflop range has too many hands that hit there. Any suited connector 76+ has something there, any pair 88+ doesn't fold there, a lot of broadways have some equity there as well while you have 0% equity more or less.

On the river what does he fold apart from AK?

His flop call indicated he had broadway and mid PP(or AK).

now on river, it would become trips or good pair so I didn't have 50% fold equity..

Bingo! 76+ all have 2pair+ here If I looked carefully. It's also hard for you to have Tx so I doubt he folds anything but air.

I disagree with preflop somewhat but definitely with flop play. No equity on a board that hits his range is not good because you don't have FE either.

LE: You don't need 50% FE actually, you need 33% but still don't have it.
