      I think preflop definitely, definitely plays better with a call.

      As played, I would just give up on the flop. Spades have you in rough shape, any 99+ has you in rough shape, any cards from 78s+ to KJ/KQ have good equity against you. You have to think more in ranges and equity. You are either slightly ahead or badly crushed here usually.
