      Hi guys,

This is my first post in the forums.

      Blinds $0.2 -$0.4

      5 handed

      MP: $30
      CO: $18
      BU (Hero): $38
      SB: $60
      BB: $75

Preflop: Hero is BU with A :diamond: , K :spade:
MP calls, CO calls, Hero raises to $2.8, SB raises to $9, 3 folds, Hero calls

      Flop: ($13) 5 :diamond: , 8 :diamond: , A :club:
      SB checks, Hero checks

      Turn: ($13) 2 :spade:
      SB checks, Hero checks

      River: ($13) 6 :diamond:
SB bets $12, Hero raises to $29 (all in), SB calls

SB shows KK, Hero wins $77.2

Would I be isolating myself here against a better hand?

Not necessarily, I think the river play is ok. It's unlikely either of you have a flush. Your line looks full of it, you'd have bet an Ace or FD on an earlier street. Villain's most likely holdings are TT-KK which he will easily be tempted to bluff catch with.

I think you should bet the turn though, even if you check back the flop. Villain can easily have worse Ax, and TT+ which you will often get 2 streets from. By waiting until river you are missing value.
