      It might but first we need to answer a question: what hand do we want villain to fold?

      9x, Tx mainly ... Flush or missed SD would have bet OTR.

      I doubt villain will fold a Tx or even 9x heads up based on our play.

      However he may fold Jx, Qx, Kx which are all better than 8 high.

      Mehh his range will be more towards 9x, tx so I played it fine :D

      I think the problem with betting river in this spot is the fact that he will c/r you a decent amount here because you can like never have a flush. I like betting if turn is not diamond.

      his goal with this hand shouldn't be to fold out pairs it should be to fold out over cards that beat us!

      not sure if this is at me or not but I know what his goal in this hand should be. The only problem with that is a) those hands are likely to lead the river themselves b) he can turn those hands into a c/r after he was giving up because it's really hard for hero to call.

      It really depends on villain here and how much HU he plays. We are at a SH table so I wouldn't expect to many ck/raise bluffs.

      After all we can have a healthy amount of Ax in our range (when betting river).
