      PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      CO: 169.6 BB
      BTN: 101 BB
      SB: 124.6 BB
      Hero (BB): 124.6 BB
      UTG: 108.8 BB
      MP: 37.4 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has J:club: J:diamond:

UTG raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, fold, SB calls 2.6 BB, Hero raises to 12 BB, fold, SB calls 9 BB

      Flop: (27BB, 2 players) T:club: 6:diamond: 5:spade:
SB bets 5 BB, Hero raises to 20 BB, SB calls 15 BB

      Turn: (67BB, 2 players) 5:club:
SB checks, Hero bets 36 BB, fold

PF: I 3-bet to protect my hand and gain value from weaker hands.

      F: SB bets < 1/5 pot
This indicates a lot of weakness, could be a weak top pair or a draw.

If SB hadn't bet then I would have raised to 20BB, so I raise to the same. I can still get my opponent all-in by the river with ease if I choose this amount.

T: My main goal of the hand is to get my opponent all in by the river so I think I could bet 30BB (just under half pot) here and then be able to bet around half pot on river.

      Hello,

      Preflop I like squeezing here.

I like raising the flop here for value, too.
What will be your plan if he 3bets here though?

Turn is a good card, so betting again here is fine in my opinion, and I like the idea of betting 30bb in this spot.

      Best,
      Plamen

I guess I'm folding to a 3-bet, only hand I'm beating would be AT but he'd do that with TT, 66 and 55.

seems fine, but ill raise a little smaller on flop and bet a little smaller on turn, leaving some money for river to bet.

Ok I play this hand very differently please give me your views.

I almost never squeeze here preflop. I think it becomes very difficult to play JJ in a 3bet pot and I think its very easily overplayed. I play JJ like any other pocket pair and set mine.

On the flop I agree his bet is small and shows weakness but I'll call knowing his range is weak to let him induce. Raising I feel is fine if I know he'll call my raise with weaker hands.

      OP says
PF: I 3-bet to protect my hand and gain value from weaker hands.

But what weaker hands will be calling and what will you get value from? UTG opened, and OP 3bet OOP with JJ, I really don't think its the best play cause he is isolating himself against a better range as in those spots most weaker hands fold and only better hands continue.

I think OP played JJ like he would play AA/KK here.

      Hey,

I think JJ is way too strong here to play only for set value.
      I prefer squeezing here since:
      - we can take the pot right here
      - we can get called by worse
      - we avoid playing this hand OOP without the initiative.

Also, we are not really going crazy with our hand if UTG 4bets here.

I do prefer the raise here on the flops. I do threat these small donks like a check, and I think that calling here is a rather bad option. We give him the chance to take a free card, and there are some turn cards that we wouldn't like.
Also, I really don't think that Tx or PPs are folding against one bet here.

      Best,
      Plamen
