      Hey guys,

First and foremost I have just started playing NL 6max cash so I apologise for my very basic questions here

As I've only played around 500 hands - stats are non-existant. I am one tabling for the moment and not using a HUD.

      PokerStars Zoom No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (6 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.com

      HollyMichelle (Button) ($2.40)
      SB ($1.65)
      BB ($2)
      UTG ($1.03)
      MP ($0.93)
      CO ($2.06)

Preflop: HollyMichelle is Button with J, Q
3 folds, HollyMichelle bets $0.06, SB calls $0.05, 1 fold

      Flop: ($0.14) 5, 2, 8 (2 players)
SB checks, HollyMichelle bets $0.09, SB calls $0.09

      Turn: ($0.32) 4 (2 players)
SB checks, HollyMichelle bets $0.19, SB calls $0.19

      River: ($0.70) 5 (2 players)
      SB checks, HollyMichelle checks

      Total pot: $0.70 | Rake: $0.02

      Results below:

      HollyMichelle didn't show J, Q (nothing).
SB had 7, 7 (two pair, sevens and fives).
      Outcome: SB won $0.68

Should we just give up after he calls our C bet on the flop? Should we even C bet that flop?

      Thanks,
      Gary

      Hello,

Preflop raising is fine of course.

Well, the flop isn't great here. Anyways, I wouldn't say that cbetting is too bad, considering we have two overcards, and also are IP and we are happy if our opponents fold his Ax/Kx or JT for example.

Once he called the flop, I prefer giving up on the turn. FD got there, 67 as well, most of his one pair hands aren't folding so I think betting here is a waste of money here.

Checking behind the river is fine of course.

      Best,
      Plamen
