so im playing 2nl on party and im suffering horredous beats,2 outer style beats(dont worry this isnt a winging thread) and never hitting, everyone hitting agaisnt me,so i go on to winner poker for a change of scenery and run like god!! lol
how the hell is this possible? run like utter, utter crap on party to the last hand then run amazing on winner right from the off?
      a little suspect maybe :-/
the players werent any worse or better, same scenarios except that i just couldnt lose on one site and couldnt hit a bean on the other?
if i was playing live and running like crap it wouldnt matter witch casino i went in, it would remain the same?
im not in the "rigged"camp but this is odd no?
      anyone experienced the same thing?

No it's not odd. It happens to everyone who plays more than 1 minute. Take the hands you think you got bad beats on and post them in hand evaluations and see if you're really getting bad beats or maybe you need to work on a leak in your game.

Heck - this happens to me all on one site. I am running hot in one and cold in one (sometimes -- it just happens.) Often I note the stats of the "cold" room and realize that everyone is playing tight aggressive and when I check on PT, they are all playing several tables -- meaning I'm likely the least experienced player or the fish no matter how hard I'm trying to play well.

But the "hot" table is one where despite how the stats read, I am usually not the Identified Fish. (At least by the definition where if you can't find the fish, it's usually b/c you are the fish.)

I like to look at the lobby to find the best rooms possible. It's hard b/c I play at Cake where there aren't a lot of rooms running and the stats change rapidly, but I chase the best room statistics whenever possible.

Also, I'm a believer that a change of scenery often does a person a ton of good -- in RL as well as poker. When I'm stuck at work, often a walk outside or moving to another project will crack open my ability to get past a stuck point.

Ok,by bad beats I will give you an example of what I mean, because believe or not I am aware of what a bad beat is! And I played for 3 hours on party not one minute.
One table had the biggest fish on it,I put in player notes how he 3bet A4off out of position just to give you some idea,I had AK on the button, fish is BB,I raised 3x and he 4bet now given this guys 4bet OOP range it was a safe call, flop AAQ,he bets pot,I raise,he calls, turn is 8,he bets again and I shove,he shows KJ and hits a ten on the river,he had 4 outs! Another table, another fish who I had noted was shoving all his PP pre,I had seen him shove 44,77,AT,and made notes on this,he raised MP and I 3bet from SB with KK,he shoves I call and he shows KT!!!king f*****g ten! The cards come out and he hits trip tens!now although the kings was not a very bad beat it gives an idea of how my session was going, All my draws were not hitting,I don't mean all ins,I don't tend to shove on draws, they just never hit.a pair was dam rare in itself! Then on winner?couldnt miss a flop or draw from the get go.

Haha yh yh,of all sites I would say party is the least likely too be rigged,it's on the stock exchange! And it deals of one deck rather then a pooled deck of cards, more life like! I just think this is very odd.:-/ I don't think sites are rigged because there is no obvios benefit to do it but this rattled me a bit I got to be honest.

You shouldnt moan when your running bad at one site but good at the other. What happens when you run bad at both? :P

This is pretty standard stuff for a daily grinder. You have good days and bad days. It has nothing to do with what site/casino/home game you play. Beats are horrible things that we pay alot of attention to. When that happens on a higher then normal frequency in a short space of time its easy to start levelling yourself in multiple ways (like x client is better then y client) You could play them hands another 5 times, still doesnt mean that pot is shipping your way come showdown. However play that 1000 times and the story is alot different.

I just came off william hill and ran horrible, But before that for an hour i was at stars and hit everything. So yes it does happen and is common. Like i said above you cant take nothing out of small samples.

Haha yes i used to think this all the time when i started and playing at Stars i could never win a hand but on FTP all i had to do was pick the frog avatar and make him smile and i would be rolling in my winnings all day :)

But reality was i just had a tiny sample of hands and little things like changes of scenery can make us irrationally superstitious. My father in law, still to this day changes the colour of the cards when he goes about 10 hands without something playable

ok fair enough but understand that i have not heard of ppl running hot and cold instantly and i have played thousands of hands so i would have thought i would have seen this occure if its common, but ppl are saying its common so thats fine.
