Villian had very tight pre-flop stats 13/10/4

I believed that his range was likely to be pocket 10's and higher, or AQ+.

5x hands were not a concern to me on the turn given his likely raiing range, so maybe I could have bet small on turn then shove river to increase the chances he will call with an over-pair.

Exactly it is more easier, most nits are passive, but if he is aggro you could try check/shoving.

I would bet 2$ on the turn and ship river, better committing to the pot than protecting his overs, he could do that if he wants to, and i doubt he has many fd-s if at all.

      Hi Phil,

Preflop: Since he is nitty and we are somewhat deep so calling is fine (for set mining)

Postflop: No need to raise so small against a nit. There's no way he is folding anything that hit. Make it larger and look to get the money in asap.

He rarely ever has any draws in his range so there's no need for us to try and "protect". We want him to stay in the pot with his overpairs and not scare him away so bet smaller and bet river (AI).
