I`m not sure if he is raising AQ for value.

      Heya,

Why do you cbet there? Value, bluff? Setting up something for later streets? What's you plan, that's the question really... :)

I would personally check this hand here but want to hear your thought on cbetting, starting from your preflop 3bet. What's his range preflop, how does you hand do against that, etc.

      My plan is " I have a pair so i bet" :f_biggrin:

I think his calling range preflop is at least this:

      MP2 42.24% 39.13% 3.11% JJ-22, AQs-ATs, A4s-A2s, KTs+, QTs+, J9s+, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, AQo-ATo, KTo+, QJo
      MP3 57.76% 54.66% 3.11% AhJh

      Postflop:

      MP2 34.14% 32.07% 2.07% JJ-22, AQs-ATs, A4s-A2s, KTs+, QTs+, J9s+, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, AQo-ATo, KTo+, QJo
      MP3 65.86% 63.79% 2.07% AhJh

      1. Cbet:

On this flop, i`m obviously ahead of his range, but indeed betting will put me in tough spots vs stronger range. I think he is calling a bet with all Jx hands, but he is also calling with Qx and he can bluff raise me a lot because he is aggresive.

      2. Ch/r - doesn`t make much sence

      3. Ch/c - seems like the best option here, because i keep his range wide and i get value flrom hands that are folding to a bet. I`ts not great to play a marginal hand OOP in big pot vs. aggresive guy, but i guess i can`t be super happy with this hand on this board anyway. I can still ch/decide on later streets vs. wide range.

When is the pot bigger? When you bet or when you check?

I mostly prefer checking since you also have backdoor draws and you can call reasonably often on the turn as well when he barrels.
