      We know what your plan was, but why do you think that he will bet here?

      If we are the PFR, to c-r we need a clear reads that the opponent is aggressive and will often try to take the pot if it's checked to him. As you didn't show any stats or reads regarding his aggression, I can't tell you anything :)

      Against an unknown I always CB here. We will be called very often if previously we c-betted with most of our preflop range as well.

      why would u want to c/r all your monsters?

      the board texture isn~t necessarily one which he would bluff at. and at nl2 im not counting on players to always bet when checked to, as th334 correctly pointed out.

      maybe if i know villain is aggro and board is 789s and i had 99 or 88, i may choose to c/r cos im usually c/f-ing this board and i expect villain to know this and thus bluff at it really often.

      but not in this situation.
