      Hi Mcfly,

With such fish behind preflop is NOT loose at all. Good open !

River should be ck/fold. There's little value in a bet anymore because you even split with all worse Ax hands.

As played I would of bet bigger on flop/turn.

What do you think we should do on a 3s or 9h river?

Hey chaps, excuse my butting in on this hand but I had a similar situation I was gonna post for evaluation. Taking the line we have up to the river, if we get a blank such as 6s is check/call <1/2 pot bet a reasonable move? checking allows villain to bluff any busted draws, or maybe even try to value bet a weaker ace. Given that we're at nl4 and mentality of some people is a pair of aces = nuts is this a good play or are we gonna face better hands too often at SD?

      Cheers

      Hi red,

Glad you are participating in the hand, feel free to ask questions in any of these hands.

The river is dependent on the villain. This guy seems passive (over the small sample) so I would prefer to bet the river myself for value vs Ax/Qx.

Until we know a bit more about villain and if they can bluff/valuebet worse our best bet is to always look to get value ourselves (put money in the pot rather than wait for others to do it for us).

Looks good, how about that 9h, do you consider that as part of the non blank category? Could we try a small valuebet on a smaller heart?

Sounds about right because we still have value from quite a few Ax hands and sometimes worse pairs.
