      River: ($2.16) 4 :club: (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $1.08, MP calls $1.08

Flop is nasty and hits CC and limp/call ranges quite hard. But I still need to protect my hand, don't I? It's not a wa/wb situation, because they will have more draws and weaker pairs than straights, so we need to protect our pair.

On a blank turn I extract value from draws.

On the river bottom straight completed, but he checks and I think weaker overpairs or 9x hands are still paying me here.

      Hi German,

I prefer a raise for value/protection on that flop. Too many cards that just make us hate life on the turn.

As played I'd bet slightly larger on the turn. Their ranges seem on the weaker/drawy side and we want to maximize value there.
