      SPEED POKER:

      IPoker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) - IPoker Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.com

      BB ($1.96)
      Hero (UTG) ($5.10)
      MP ($13.54)
      CO ($5.91)
      Button ($1.38)
      SB ($4.26)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, A
Hero bets $0.15, 1 fold, CO calls $0.15, 3 folds

      Flop: ($0.37) 3, A, 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.25, CO raises $0.50, Hero raises $0.90, CO calls $0.65

      Turn: ($2.67) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.80, CO calls $1.80

      River: ($6.27) 2 (2 players)
      Hero checks, CO checks

      Total pot: $6.27

PF: I've just found that I should only be raising 3BB instead of 4BB.

F: I bet because board is wet, I realise I should have bet more.

      T: I bet to protect.

R: I'm scared I might be beat, hoping for check-behind.

      QUESTION:
How does this change if I hold AQ instead of AJ?

      Hi Raknyo,

Preflop: looks fine.3x is fine if we play a wider range from UTG and we don't have huge fish behind.

Postflop: What do we know about the opponent?

By your line you are assuming that he can raise worse hands for value or semibluff.

As played do you plan to fold the river to 1/3 pot bet?

      He is unknown.

I guess I wouldn't be able to fold to 1/3 pot bet.

Considering villain is unknown and our pair is the strongest I think that we are oveplaying it on the flop.

If we want to 3-bet and get the money in we should size the bets such that we can put villain all in on the turn.

I personally feel that against unknown fishy guys we can assume that they rarely raise draws/1p hands it's mostly 2p+ so I would bet/fold as my default.

If we have any reason to believe that they can either be bluffing or raising worse for value then we can call and play turn/river or 3-bet/stack off (so I'd make the raise larger on flop and ship turn).

Personally, against an unknown AJ/AQ/AK are very similar here because I don't expect 1p hands to raise.

Also my default bet size on such a flop is higher to at least 0.28 or so.
