      New Betfair Poker

Betfair Poker will be moving to the iPoker network on the week commencing January 21.

Create a Betfair Poker account now

The key facts you need to know are:

      • It will be joining the iPoker tier 2, meaning it will be part of the softer network with more casino gamblers and recreational players.

      • Speed Poker will be available.

      • Existing Betfair Poker players will still have the option to play on both iPoker and Ongame until the middle of 2013, when only iPoker will be available.

      • New players will only be able to play on iPoker.

      • Upon registering for the new iPoker platform, players will be prompted to create a new alias. They will be able to keep their old Betfair Poker alias, if it is available.

      • Details on the new First Deposit Bonus and loyalty programme will be announced in the upcoming days.

      • Existing players who register for the new iPoker skin will be eligible for a sign-up bonus and welcome rewards.

Anyone who joins Betfair Poker before the migration takes place will be able to play poker on both iPoker and OnGame over the next six months. This includes being able to make the most of the $2,500 welcome bonus for OnGame.

I play on Poker770 (iPoker) and have a Betfair account, in theory I can play on both at iPoker at the same time (if on different IP addresses)

iPoker is not renowned for its 'security' so what is to stop people multi accounting? (I suppose this is an issue already)

      Hey Phgrinder,

The best people to answer that query would be Betfair customer support :)

"This includes being able to make the most of the $2,500 welcome bonus for Ongame."

So... if I quickly join Betfair before the migration takes place I can get the bonus both on the Ongame network and then on Ipoker network as well? Whereas if I don't, I will be able to get the bonus only on the Ipoker network?

      Hi Gentari

ipoker allows you to have 2 different accounts on different skins, but you can only log onto one at a time. I suppose it might be possible to setup another system on another ip address to fool around with it, havent tried.

      Yes, that's confirmed.

Current players and new sign-ups between now and the launch date, can benefit from both sign-up bonuses and loyalty programs.

      Thanks.

      So just to clarify:

If I sign up for Betfair (Ongame Network) now, I get the up to 2500$ bonus, as it has been the case for some time already, right?

And I still will be eligible for the new Betfair bonus after January 21?

That sounds like a sweet deal to me.

That's right, if you sign-up prior to the launch you will benefit from both first deposit offers and loyalty systems. It is indeed a sweet deal :)

      Thanks.

      Hey Tiago,

This accounts for all previous Betfair account holders and not just new sign ups?

      Thanks,
      Gary

      Hi Gary,

It applies to everyone who has an account already or registers one prior to the launch.

So if you have an account at Betfair and didn't deposit yet, you'll get the current bonus once you deposit. Additionally, once you register with "New Betfair Poker" (iPoker), you will also get the new bonus upon depositing.

      Thanks.

      Excellent, thank you :)

I've already collected my first deposit bonus at Betfair over a year ago so it will be nice to get a second go again when it joins iPoker.

How will the rakeback look like on the iPoker skin?

I'm wondering because if it's a yearly vip system instead of a monthly, you may want to start collecting vip points asap.

      Hi Exitium,

The loyalty program will be monthly.

Betfair is yet to release further details about the loyalty club. We are expecting this to be done within the upcoming days, so stay tuned!

      Thanks.

      Hey guys!

Is there any link where it is explained how and if the points will be converted to ipoker? I couldnt find any.

I have $500 worth of points on ongame and I'd really like to know whether I have to cash it out if I don't want to loose them. Or maybe I could even get more out of them if I keep them?

      Thanks!
