Some time in November PartyPoker gave me a $3 gift. played 3x$1sngs and got going from there.

Finally completed my 1000th game and although the last 50 games are not going the way I wanted I can't really complain.

When I add the Xmas Advent Bonuses I'm still on over $150 so I'm enjoying the run.

Hi Deadbillis, and welcome to our blog section!

I see so many people doing well at SnGs I suppose I'm going to have to have them a go one of these days.

I played them early on, but soon gave them up for cash games.
It's good to see somebody at least is doing well with them.

      Can't wait to hear more!

      Cheers VS

I try to play 18-30 games per day on turbos (multitable x 6). Playing $3 now and want to break into $6 by march which may mean investing a bit of cash to make my br correct. I did play a few $6 turbo on boxing day (as a treat) but with only $120 in my br found this way to big. Think $300br would be the minimum I would like in my br before moving up so that's my target.

3 Main things I think help you with these games.
      i. Super TAG until ICM stage
      ii. Learn ICM!
      iii. Master ICM!!!

It's amzing how many players will stick to TAG when blinds are 800+ so you get so many pushes through and then you'll get the same TAGs push 1k into your 800bb and you take their AA out with any two!

Varience is an issue but it evens out. I used to go tilt after KK got beat by J9o but I've pushed J9 and beaten JJ+ so often that it's water off a ducks back now.

Def think HEM2 has been a major benifit! Not only in game with the HUD but also to keep track of my progress and to check my play!

Will hopefully get a few games tonight after work (I'm a chef BTW). Won't get a lot in this weekend though as I'm out Wreck Fishing!

So finished work and settled down for a turbo session. just an hour session which means I should get 12 games in (2 sets of 6). Did not check my settings and was half way through my first set when I realised I was playing standard games not turbos!!!! Managed 2 3rds but could not catch a break. Even had players I have marked as 'good' making some weird calls against me today!!! 2nd set of 6 and back to turbos : )..... Same as before 2 3rds this time along with the weird callers I kept running into monsters not a lot I can do but 'wow' my ev is laughing at me!

Here's the weirdest hand I had! Villian is a 15/13 off 300 hands. Tink he must of misclicked as play him a lot and never seen him make a call with less than Axs at this stage!

Having a crazy time atm. Getting outdrawn and losing so many flips. Happy with my game apart from a mad spat when I played some $11 games (way out my br). Felt so guilty after the games I had to buy myself some Ben & Jerry's as way of an apology.

      Christmas is definatly over!

      Graph from Jan7th

Now playing with just the bonus money. Gonna add $150 to keep me in the $3 br as I do not want to go back to $1.

most of us have done this at some point

Think of it as the money you lost is the fee you paid to learn to never do that again :P

      yep.
Just got to ride it out @ $3turbs now and wait for the cards to start doing their job.
I've dropped down to 4 tables for a while. Don't like playing only 4 as I find it slow but at least my br bleed has also slowed down.

Still losing all my flips when 4th or 3rd but am winning some small dog races so it always evens out!!!

This is the attitude you must have, my sngs have not been good recently, but I am playing well enough, just got to wait for the cards to come right again :)

      Good Luck

So after a great start I end up 1 x second out of 4 games!!!

Position 2nd. Lost after 77vsAQ and then KQvsKT

Position 4th after A4push runs into A3 who hits flush!

Position 5th after very short sb 54s open push (1,600 into 900pot) BB had to call anytwo so out I went.

Position 6th lost this one after a call I'm still not sure I made correct. When I called think I had odds but need to ICM Cal. it to check. Villian is TAG with Aggressive ICM so I know he's pushing av & above here:

Why are you 3betting so big?
so early in the game playing for stacks with AQ is not +EV
You can also flat on the btn so early in the game
If hes a fish you can definitely 3bet him

But you have position on him i would not 3bet more than 220 here
would cbet small about 200 on that board

Post the turn result would still have been the same. But i still dont like playing such a big pot early on with AQ

      Thanks Bud

Knew I had pot odds really but downswings make you doubt yourself.

Still swinging and missing think Jan is going to be a complete washout. Noticed my vpip has started to drop which made me worry that I was tilting by tightening up. Check me hands back and realised its just that I'm not making hu atm.
