      Hi

I am Vilistaja from Estonia, 24y old and playing more poker since may 2012. I play mainly just to learn the game and have fun.

Why i decided to start that blog? I haven't seen too much micro stakes blogs (maybe haven't searched a lot) and i hope to create quality blog out of here. Other reason is i can use and approve my English here. Third reason is i don't usually analyse my game too much, so posting some hands here will make me do it more.

What i will post to here? Certainly i will post here my session most won and lost hands with my thoughts about them also some just interesting hands and links to hands that i post for evaluation. Also i want to talk just little bit of my life, hobbies, bad and good times to keep that blog as interesting as possible.

      More about myself:
My hobbies are freediving, geocacheing and riding bike. Most i am into freediving, i can hold my breath statically laying little over 4 minutes, swim in pool 50m with single breath and this summer i want to start exploring depths of local lakes and shores.

Okay i need to catch my bus now, will post some graphs and hands later today. Hope to get a lot of followers and supporters and good luck to all who read this. :)

So here is my graph in BBs, because of mixed limits, both NL2 and NL5.

As you can see just brake even, but at least last couple of months my graph is rising quite steadily, feel myself confident and moving to NL5 atm.

When played that QQ i was already little bit tired and got confused. Player on Button looks decent player and against his button 3bet range (AA, KK, AK) i even thought folding that hand, but it seems too tight. Since CO was fish i decided to call pre.
On flop i decided check/call, to draw for flush, when i hit that flush i started thinking if i bet there what worse hand calls me there, find out for myself that none and checked.
On river i decided to do small bet to get some value from AK, KK, but as played if i got raise should be easy fold, there can be only boat or nut flush.

Last day was not good play day:

First half nl2 second one nl4. Tried my new opening chart and HUD, seems they are not helping. With HUD i made some color coding to there, but i thinks i will take my old HUD back, new one gets too flashy and more like disturb me than help.
For playing i keep my new hand chart, yesterday i had a feeling that i never hit something and opponents always hit. Think that made me a spewing tilt monkey, so will try again with fresh head.

Posted one hand to evaluating too: [NL2 SH] 99 top set on dry board.

Also one example what happens if i tilt:

Was one of my last hands and very bad.

      Microgaming - €0.04 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      Hero (UTG): €4.19
      MP: €4.58

      SB: €1.55
      BB: €4.25

SB posts SB €0.02, BB posts BB €0.04, CO posts DB €0.04

Pre Flop: (pot: €0.10) Hero has J:heart: Q:heart:

Hero raises to €0.16, MP calls €0.16, fold, BTN calls €0.16, fold, fold

      Flop: (€0.58, 3 players) 7:diamond: 7:club: 9:diamond:
Hero bets €0.30, fold, BTN raises to €0.60, Hero calls €0.30
      Should be easy fold here.
      Turn: (€1.78, 2 players) 6:club:
Hero bets €0.90, BTN calls €0.90
I really don't understand what was going on in my head.
      River: (€3.58, 2 players) 2:spade:
Hero checks, BTN bets €1.84 and is all-in, fold

      BTN wins €3.48

      Quite okay day today.

I was tilting too much at 6max because of yesterday, so i went to look some confidence to FR tables and it went well.

      That was especially nice:

      PokerStars - $0.02 NL - Holdem - 6 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      SB: $0.42
      BB: $3.49
      UTG: $1.40
      MP: $4.97
      CO: $0.98
      Hero (BTN): $2.01

SB posts SB $0.01, BB posts BB $0.02

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.03) Hero has T:diamond: Q:club:

UTG calls $0.02, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.08, fold, BB calls $0.06, UTG calls $0.06

      Flop: ($0.25, 3 players) J:club: 7:heart: 8:club:
BB bets $0.06, UTG calls $0.06, Hero calls $0.06
      Calling for odds and outs
      Turn: ($0.43, 3 players) K:spade:
BB bets $0.12, UTG calls $0.12, Hero calls $0.12
Still calling for odds and outs.
      River: ($0.79, 3 players) A:diamond:
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $0.26, BB raises to $0.52, fold, Hero raises to $1.75 and is all-in, BB calls $1.23
Made small bet to get call from most hands and to induce which worked this time.

Hero shows T:diamond: Q:club: (Straight, Ace High) (Pre 42%, Flop 41%, Turn 18%)
BB shows 7:diamond: K:diamond: (Two Pair, Kings and Sevens) (Pre 58%, Flop 59%, Turn 82%)

      Hey vilistaja

blogs are always good because they get you thinking a lot more about poker and it's a good chance to offload. Wow about holding your breath for that long too that's insane to me but then again I don't think i can swim 50metres.

      Good luck!!

      Time to conclude the month.
I am happy that i managed to start play on NL5, but results could be better:

      Goals for February:
[ ] Stay on NL5 and play there
      [ ] Play only 6max games
      [ ] Watch all Pleno1 6max coachings
[ ] Do at least 2 sweat sessions
      [ ] Play 10k hands minimum
[ ] Widen up my opening range a little bit from late positions
[ ] Be active on posting hands and learn how to do it faster and better

      Non poker related goals:
[ ] Check my healt at doctor (gave blood today, EKG, blood pressure tests and fitness test to go). I have had high blood pressure for long time and i want to find out why to not have any bad suprises while diving.
[ ] Concentrate more to school and finishing my Bachelor degree on spring
[ ] Get habit of using my to do list

      Time to conclude February

In short BE month with no volume.

      Here the graphs:
      Cash:

      BB:

      Goals for February:
[ ] Stay on NL5 and play there Fail, ran bad in beginning of month and needed to go back NL2 :(
      [ ] Play only 6max games Done
      [ ] Watch all Pleno1 6max coachings Done
[ ] Do at least 2 sweat sessions Actually made 3 sessions
      [ ] Play 10k hands minimum Fail
[ ] Widen up my opening range a little bit from late positions Done got my stats from 19/17 to 22/20
[ ] Be active on posting hands and learn how to do it faster and better Huge fail, was not concentrating to poker too much and that part fell to dust

      Non poker related goals:
[ ] Check my healt at doctor (gave blood today, EKG, blood pressure tests and fitness test to go). I have had high blood pressure for long time and i want to find out why to not have any bad suprises while diving. Done. Everything seems to be okay with my health, bloodpressure actually was normal when i was wearing monitoring device.
[ ] Concentrate more to school and finishing my Bachelor degree on spring Done. Last month was more dedicated to school and i was successful which is nice.
[ ] Get habit of using my to do list Done. Started using Evernote and it's good stuff, i recommend it. You can get so much more done.

Hmm... I have found out that for some reason i can't play my A-game poker at home. It's so irritating, lately i have been playing mostly in school library after other things are done and before going home. Yesterday i tried to play at home and insta tilt, feels like my girlfriend is constantly annoying me when actually she is just asking couple of things and everything feels so uncomfortable.

Played about 100 hands last night, here is last one that made me close tables:

Against player who has been very aggressive

      Microgaming - €0.04 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      BB: €5.21
      UTG: €7.26
      MP: €4.18
      Hero (CO): €4.41
      BTN: €4.37
      SB: €4.02

SB posts SB €0.02, BB posts BB €0.04

Pre Flop: (pot: €0.06) Hero has T:diamond: T:spade:

UTG raises to €0.14, fold, Hero calls €0.14, BTN calls €0.14, fold, fold

      Flop: (€0.48, 3 players) 3:club: 3:heart: 5:spade:
UTG bets €0.32, Hero calls €0.32, fold

      Turn: (€1.12, 2 players) 3:diamond:
UTG bets €0.74, Hero raises to €3.95 and is all-in, UTG calls €3.21

      River: (€9.02, 2 players) 7:club:

UTG shows Q:club: Q:diamond: (Full House, Threes full of Queens) (Pre 82%, Flop 92%, Turn 95%)
Hero shows T:diamond: T:spade: (Full House, Threes full of Tens) (Pre 18%, Flop 8%, Turn 5%)
      UTG wins €8.92

I wanted to talk about my yesterdays sweat session. I came to idea to play heads up with play money against my friend and try to put each other on ranges. We discussed every hand and our thought process and i must say i recommend that method for hand reading training a lot. We were both pretty loose preflop and flop, but on turn and river we were both quite successful guessing opponent range. So i can't wait to test things that i learned yesterday on 6max tables, since there are ranges much tighter than on heads up and it should be easier to narrow opponents range there.

Unfortunately i didn't find place where to convert play money hands so i can't put any examples here :( .
