Preflop 8bb is indeed better. Keep in mind he should not fold often here so be prepared to play postflop OOP with deep stacks. It will usually not be too easy.

Postflop, I don't like your flop sizing that much. Given stack depth I think you have to bet at least 7.5bb unless you have some dynamics/read to use fancy sizing. Half pot is just way too small imo.

About the same goes for turn and river is OK sizing. Him calling down TT tells you a bit about your image if he is a regular imo. He thinks you are very barrel happy post and/or that small sizing is a tell for weak hand in your case. You considered your hand weak because you snap fold it to action so if he were actually pretty damn good he'd say calling wins sometimes but raising wins 100% of the time and would raise TT.

Deep stacked pots are interesting because I don't think he is capable of raising a low or medium flush IP on the turn and the only 2 hands that make sense would be 44 and 66 and some high flushes. Could 44 stack off here for 300bb on any river? Flushes probably can't get it in. Quite interesting but this is just me being intrigured by 300bb stacks. Don't try to make him fold a FH. :D
