      Hi Gxtwo,

      Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: How do you think that Jx changes his range? Is it normally a good barrel card vs a fish?

I'm assuming he is unknown but he appears fishy/recreational because of his stack size.

What you mean by changes his range?

Yeah he's unknown, is there ever a good card to barrel vs fish?

I think I should have just tried to get a cheap showdown because I have reverse implied odds vs Kx and Qx

      What I meant was:

Does this turn card improve his flop calling range or not?

And yes I agree with you that checking back, on this card is most likely a better play in the long term against unknown fish. It's not because we want a cheap showdown but because I feel that the J helps his range a lot and he is not likely to fold much. Our equity is also very weak in the hand.
