cold calling pfr

i've got a strategy question that i'd like to hear some different opinions on... I've recently been occasionally cold calling pfr's from very fishy, not very aggressive players with semi strong hands. for example if i sit on the button or cut-off with AQ, KQ, AJ or something in that range i call and see a flop. I don't do it often so it doesn't become obvious, but i've made some good money on it and i want to know if it's a solid strategy or if i've just been lucky with it...

Depends on how fishy the opponent is, i guess, and if there are other players behind you that could call.

Against a maniac i would do this. Against all other opponents i wouldn't.

      Hi texbball33,

as said before it depends on different factors. What limit do you play? Is it FR or SH? How many opponents are behind you. Are they loose or rather tight? In general I tend to re-raise a maniac with strong hands like AQ or AJ, but cold-calling is possible.

      Best regards,
