villain seemed quite loose aggressive 18/14. was stuck on whether to raise the flop or not, decided just to call for pot control. Turn i struggled with putting him on a hand when he then checked to me, i think i should have bet here about half pot?. River i was 50/50 on calling but thought its not often they bet the river with nothing.

      Hi DrRaab,

      Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: I think that we should raise the flop here as a semibluff.

Villain will donk worse draws and most likely a lot of pairs (many do to see where they are at).

So if we raise these pairs usually fold and thus we made a better hand to fold. And draws call.

      Win/win situation.

As played I'd consider betting turn/river there for the same reasons as above, get him to fold a better hand.
