Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is UTG with A :club: K :spade:
Hero raises to $0.30, 4 folds, BB calls $0.20

      Flop: ($0.65) 3  7  8 :diamond: (2 players)
BB bets $0.30, Hero calls $0.30

      Turn: ($1.25) 7 :diamond: (2 players)
      BB bets $0.50, Hero folds

basically i think i played this bad.
effective stacks are short, and he donks. if ever i put him on draws, the only way i can win it would be to have him Not pot commit, evade his flush or straight, and then go on to successfully bluff the river.
basically, whatever he best on a 378tt board has like good equity against AKo and my fold equity is not great, on flop(draws probably get it in), turn and river since he gets more committed with each following street.

      correct my thinking

whats right whats wrong what can be done better

      Hi straywolf

Against an unknown fish we can do a few things:

Raise his donk for thin value and try to get to showdown.
      Just fold flop.
      Call him down on blanks.

That's pretty much the order of my choices.

      but as fish,
will we be seeing equal amount of paired type hands as draws if we opt to call down?

We have 0 info on the guy so we don't know.

Some fish donk overcards here often, random gutshots, etc.

That's why calling down without info is last on my list.

I prefer to raise or fold rather than call down unknown shortie fish.
