This was like the hand after the AA hand I just posted, vs. same guy. I figured he'd be less inclined to believe my raises second time round?

Had I known he had AA I could have bet bigger for more value I think

      BTN: $7.66 - VPIP: 50, PFR: 6, 3B: 0, AF: 1.2, Hands: 48

      Hi Sketchzr,

      Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: We can also consider donking here for immediate value. As played I do agree that a larger raise is better for value/protection (even without us knowing he has AA). We have to look at his range and see how much a FD/OESD/Jx/8x/99/TT hand is willing to pay.

So for example on that blank turn 9T gets there and 87 but also hands like 99/TT/JT/J9 pick up pair plus draw and there are still flush draws available so we should continue betting bigger.

Same goes for the blank river. We want to maximize value vs Jx and pairs in general.

So overall I think you bet too small and lost value versus his range, not just AA.

I guess I was a little suspicious of Jx two pair given J2 isn't a particularly great hand but I agree I could've squeezed much more out of this one, I think I can pot turn + river.

If we were to get raised at any point (turn or river) it would be ugly but there are so many 1p hands we can get value from that we should just bet/bet/bet for max value.
