      Hey,

I usually minraise BU so I can call 3bets quite often if needed with good stacks to play for behind and good preflop odds as well.

There's a lot to discuss about limping BU.. I think in general you shouldn't do it but in some cases, like now when you've been getting 3bet a lot and didn't manage to use your position it might be OK.

      Well,

They CAN but doesn't mean they WILL. People are too lazy to check showdowns usually. I minraise my whole range though so I wouldn't use 2 sizings based on hands.

you mean against tight players, 2x raise with whole range,
and against unknown and loose players,2.5x open?

No, I minraise BU vs everyone. Spots where you should raise bigger are:

      1. Fish that calls a lot in the blinds against whom you feel uncomfortable playing 50% or more hands.
      2. Aggro 3bettor so you raise bigger with a tighter range. You give him worse restealing odds and put in less dead money.

Overalk though, the wider your range is preflop, the smaller you should make it so you don't put in too much dead money.
