      BTN: $57.08 (114.2 bb)
      SB: $154.83 (309.7 bb)
      BB: $71.52 (143 bb)
      UTG: $68.01 (136 bb)
      MP: $70.59 (141.2 bb)
      Hero (CO): $51.65 (103.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 4 4
UTG raises to $1.50, MP folds, Hero calls $1.50, 3 folds

      Flop: ($3.75) 4 8 7 (2 players)
UTG bets $2, Hero raises to $7.05, UTG calls $5.05

      Turn: ($17.85) 5 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $11.30, UTG calls $11.30

      River: ($40.45) J (2 players)
UTG bets $23, Hero calls $23

      Results:
      $86.45 pot ($3 rake)
      Final Board: 4 8 7 5 J
      UTG showed J J and won $83.45 ($40.60 net)
Hero mucked 4 4 and lost (-$42.85 net)

      VPIP: 18, PFR: 12, 3B: 3, AF: 2,1, Hands: 3272

With that huge donk on river I felt the set over set coming, but I couldn't refrain from calling as he's a strange (and pretty bad) reg, and it's not the first time I see a bluff on the river (however not common).
Should I just give up instead?

      Hi,

I don't think you should bet the Turn. He is probably folding all his overpairs, and only continuing with 6X, perhaps some flush draws or T9s, and higher sets.

On the River, he reps some 6X and T9s. I don't see too many flush draws in his range to be honest, cos he should probably be bet/folding the Flop with something like AcKc. You should probably fold.

      Thanks.

I bet the turn 'cos he's a lot looser than most regs, being on 31 WTSD.
So I was pretty sure he was gonna call me again with overpairs.
      Is that a wrong assumption?

While you might have been right here, I think most people who have tight VPIP/PFR have tight mentalities. Meaning when stuff completes on the board, they often err on the side of folding, which is also my assumption.

Anyway even for myself I'm bet/folding here and I'd assume that someone tight would be even likelier to bet/fold an OP here.

I don't think you should only look at WTSD here. He has a stronger PF range so that could explain why he is able to get to showdown so often.
